Glass Enameling #2: Graphite on Enamel

Saturday, February 8 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$35.00

In this class, students use enameled copper and graphite pencils to create a unique drawing. With the use of glass etching cream, the white enameled copper becomes a canvas that the soft graphite fuses with when fired in the kiln.

The fired piece can be painted with watercolor enamels and fired again, or can be left as a black and white piece, depending on time. Students are encouraged to bring a picture or design as inspiration for their work, or they can use stencils that we have available.

Copper blanks, enamels, pencils, and watercolor enamels are all provided. Students should wear closed toed shoes for safety. The instructor will apply and rinse off the etching cream.

Open to adults 18+.
