Pastels are a lovely medium with many variations on the theme and capabilities.

In this class, we’ll learn the basics of working with chalk pastels and pastel pencils as we create a landscape in the Romantic style. Students will have their choice of working on wood panel or Pastebord paper. We’ll practice first on smaller pieces so students can try various methods and color applications.

All materials will be provided – students are welcome to bring their own supplies if preferred.

Recommended:  Bring a reference photo (or photos) for your landscape inspiration. This simply helps with color choices and proportions.

This class is best suited for students 13+.
