Chris Shirer’s work with pastels and encaustic began around 2015 but she did not begin showing or selling her work until the summer of 2024 when she was accepted into the juried Lancaster Festival in Lancaster, Ohio. Chris also works in watercolor and teaches Introduction to Watercolor at the Co-Op.

She hosts a monthly Watercolor Open Studio where attendees are welcome to bring their own supplies or use studio supplies to work and experiment with the benefit of having others for feedback and assistance.
