Intro to
Pottery Wheel Throwing
2-Session Class
Saturday, September 28 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
$100.00
Learn the basics of making pots on the pottery wheel!
This two-class series is recommended for first time students on the wheel. Each class is 2 hours long with the final 15 minutes of each class learning to clean in a community studio.
The two classes are scheduled for two back-to-back Saturdays: September 28th and October 5th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
You’ll learn how a pottery wheel works, what a kiln is, tools involved and basic wheel throwing. From all pieces you make, you’ll choose your favorite 2 – 4 pieces and select glaze colors for each. Your instructor will fire your finished pieces, glaze them with your selected colors, fire them again and they will be ready for pick up 4 weeks after the last class.
Students are also welcome to come and glaze their own pieces after the first firing for an additional $10.00.
All supplies and tools are provided.
