Students will choose a Sterling spoon or fork from the instructor's collection and decide to make a ring, earrings OR pendant during this 3 hour class. This class is suitable for those 13 years and up.
Polymer clay is a forgiving, fun, lightweight material used to create unique wearables including pins, earrings and pendants. In this three-hour session, we’ll learn about basic principles of working with Polymer Clay. You’ll learn how to condition your clay, use acrylic rollers, shape cutters, and finishing techniques to create an artful piece. Students will create their choice of two pins, earrings or pendants. Students booking this class should have completed Polymer Clay I or have prior experience working with polymer clay. In this class, we’ll explore using a pasta rolling machine to blend clays to change colors, create ombre and marbling effects, learn the principles behind creating ‘canes’ to create more detailed designs, and consider polymer clay as a sculptural art form.
