Help Wanted: Social Media Manager

Volunteer Facebook Manager

We enjoy giving everyone an opportunity to support our programs and it’s time to pass the management of our Facebook page to a new Volunteer Manager! You don’t have to be a member of the Co-Op to help us. If you love us, that’s a great start!

As the manager of our Facebook page, you’ll be responsible for:

1) Creating 2 posts per week highlighting or announcing our classes or activities, a Co-Op artist’s work, or sharing a video of something related to the Co-Op.

You can share others’ posts about art, artists, and activities that support creativity as a 3rd weekly post. We just want the page to be active, positive and providing information that is relevant to our members, friends and supporters, and, to increase visibility for the Co-Op and its Studio Artist Members.

Our teachers will provide you with class photos to support your posts. You’ll be responsible for retrieving or taking photos as you need them, such as our artists’ items on display, event photos.

2) You’ll be responsible for posting all our classes and events as Facebook Events with link to class purchase pages. We’ll let you know when new classes and events have been scheduled and you can pull all copy/detail from the website!

3) You’ll be responsible for boosting posts inside an established Facebook Advertising budget, using meaningful targeting we’ll share with you to assure we’re reaching the people nearby who are looking for our type of activity.

COMPENSATION: This is a VOLUNTEER position with no cash compensation but we are happy to gift you one free class of your choice per month.

We are an all-volunteer organization with a mission to bring art experiences to as wide a variety of community members and visitors to Perry County, Ohio as possible. Facebook management tasks take 2 – 4 hours per month. We’ll support you with as much photography/video as we can but you may need to stop by and take some photos of artwork as well!

EXPERIENCE: It would be optimal if you have current or prior experience managing an organization or business Facebook page and have worked with purchasing/planning Facebook advertising. All applicants should anticipate that we’ll review your social media history solely to confirm you possess solid writing and photography skills.

If chosen as our new Facebook Manager, we’ll check in at 90-days to confirm all is going well for both of us!

If interested, please drop us a note with your relevant experience and best ways to get in touch with you using our Contact form. We look forward to connecting with you!
