Beginning Jewelry – Piercing, Sawing, and Filing with Cathy Holley
Saturday, March 21 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
$40.00
Making jewelry requires many different skill sets. This class will cover the 3 most basic, piercing metal using an electric drill, sawing with a jeweler’s hand saw, and filing to clean up edges, all as we create a copper pendant. You will have the choice of sawing your shape from a provided piece of copper or using a premade square and cutting a design inside. You will then use small jewelry files to clean up rough edges. Once the piece is finished, we will add a jump ring and silicone cord, and the pendant will be ready to wear.
We supply the copper for the pendant and the jump ring and cord. All tools necessary for this project are available for student use in the studio.
Available to those 18+.
