July Kids’ Camp – Ages 11 – 17

Kids' Camp is BACK! Sign up your kiddos, ages 11 - 17, for a week of art making with a different project each day! Our team of instructors will help with projects in clay, drawing, painting, resin pouring and print making. Foldformed Copper Jewelry

Somerset Artists' Co-Op 206 South Market Street, Somerset, OH, United States

Learn the basics of fold forming with copper and create a beautiful pendant or earrings - once you have the hang of it, you may be able to create more than one piece! 

Students will be provided pre-cut copper to form, mold and mark. Torches and all tools will be supplied, including ear wires, jump rings, and/or pinbacks depending on your finished project. Foldforming requires heating metal and quenching. We'll be working with a simple blow torch and safety instruction will be provided. Additional embellishment with provided beads and stones is possible for your piece!

Since we will be working with flaming hot materials, please wear closed-toe shoes. This class is for adults 18+.

We invite anyone who has tried or regularly enjoys enameling to join enameling instructor Cathy Holley for a relaxed open studio session where you can play with and share your favorite techniques with other enameling lovers. We can supply enamels and copper for those who need them or bring your own supplies for a lower fee. Choose the seat type that suits your situation best. Sign up today for a great opportunity to share with and learn from others!

Feel free to bring any food and drinks that you’d like. Times listed are when the studio will be available, but you are welcome to come in later or leave earlier. Fees, however, will remain the same. Ages 18+.
