* Shapes and Shading
– learn to draw 2d and 3d shapes
– finding shapes in references
– using shading to create 3d shapes

*Light and Shadow
– use/find light placement
– contour your drawings using shadow
– accent your drawings using highlights
– casting realistic shadows

*Proportion and Perspective
– determine and define distance between objects
– drawing perspective lines
– appropriately represent size and distance in drawings

*Shading Techniques
– hatching and cross hatching
– layer building and tonal shading
– stippling and scrumbling
