Learn and have fun with this basic, step-by-step acrylic painting class. This is open to all ages - best for those who can remain focused for two hours (child OR adult!). You'll create A Christmas Tree in the Woods on a 16x20-inch canvas with step-by-step instruction from treasured Co-Op artist Bobbie McKinnon.
Students who have completed our beginning series may continue their enameling journey in this intermediate series.
We will work with crackle enamels, stringers and lumps, and overglazes to create unique patterns and finishes. Painting with liquid enamels will give students a chance to include their individual artistic talents and expand their control of color mixing. These can all be used in combination with techniques learned in the beginning series, and layering of colors to create depth and interest will be encouraged. We will also be learning about more advanced techniques, such as champleve, basse-taille, and plique-a-jour, as time permits.
