    Christmas Cast in Resin

    Transform treasured jewelry pieces and mementos into a holiday remembrance of a time or person, or simply express your creativity using found or treasured objects and more. You'll artfully assemble your piece on canvas and then affix it permanently with poured resin.

    Instructor Linda Savage will lead this adventure and will bring additional space-filling beads, jewelry pieces and more to fill out your composition. Your canvas will be provided.

    You bring: small or broken jewelry, pins, mementos, keys, buttons or any beads, bolts scraps or widgets.

    Begin the holiday season with art! Join enamelist Cathy Holley and create a beautiful, one-of-a-kind, glass enameled, copper Christmas ornament. Select from a variety of copper blanks and, after learning several application techniques, layer colorful enamels to personalize your selection before firing in the kiln. You will leave with a completed ornament ready for that special place on your tree.

    All materials (copper blanks, glass enamel, enamel stringers and chunks, ribbon for hanging, ornament hook) and all tools needed will be supplied.

    PARK DISTRICT EVENT: A Fall Painting

    The studio is booked on this date/time for a Perry County Park District event with painter Bobbi McKinnon. This event is FREE thanks to a grant to the Park District and students will create this fall scene with flying geese. This class is suitable for those 13 years and up. Make a Christmas present for a loved one. A ring, pendant or earrings. Bring them along and they can make one for you!

    Learn and have fun with this basic, step-by-step acrylic painting class. This is open to all ages - best for those who can remain focused for two hours (child OR adult!).  You'll celebrate the season by creating "Mr. Straw Shows His Pumpkins" on a 16x20-inch canvas with step-by-step instruction from treasured Co-Op artist Bobbi McKinnon.

    Glass Enameling
    Open Studio

    We invite anyone who has tried or regularly enjoys enameling to join enameling instructor Cathy Holley for a relaxed open studio session where you can play with and share your favorite techniques with other enameling lovers. We can supply enamels and copper for those who need them or bring your own supplies for a lower fee. Choose the seat type that suits your situation best. Sign up today for a great opportunity to share with and learn from others!

    Feel free to bring any food and drinks that you’d like. Times listed are when the studio will be available, but you are welcome to come in later or leave earlier. Fees, however, will remain the same. Ages 18+.

    PRIVATE CLASS: Beginner Pottery

    In this 2-hour class students will learn the tools and basic skills for beginner's wheel throwing. It will include a demonstration by the instructor and approximately 90-minutes of wheel time. Each student receives 3 balls of clay and can make whatever they would like. At the end of the class, students pick the pieces they are excited about and their preferred glaze color. The instructor will monitor drying, bisque fire, glaze, then glaze-fire student pieces. Finished pieces are ready for pick up in approximately four (4) weeks.

    This is a privately booked class and can be booked by others for up to 6 participants. Request your date.
