    Learning Benchmarks
    * Shapes and Shading
    - learn to draw 2d and 3d shapes
    - finding shapes in references
    - using shading to create 3d shapes

    *Light and Shadow
    - use/find light placement
    - contour your drawings using shadow
    - accent your drawings using highlights
    - casting realistic shadows

    *Proportion and Perspective
    - determine and define distance between objects
    - drawing perspective lines
    - appropriately represent size and distance in drawings

    *Shading Techniques
    - hatching and cross hatching
    - layer building and tonal shading
    - stippling and scrumbling

    We invite anyone who has tried or regularly enjoys enameling to join enameling instructor Cathy Holley for a relaxed open studio session where you can play with and share your favorite techniques with other enameling lovers. We can supply enamels and copper for those who need them or bring your own supplies for a lower fee. Choose the seat type that suits your situation best. Sign up today for a great opportunity to share with and learn from others!

    Feel free to bring any food and drinks that you’d like. Times listed are when the studio will be available, but you are welcome to come in later or leave earlier. Fees, however, will remain the same. Ages 18+.

    FULL – Reticulated Silver
    with David Kunkler

    We will learn how to reticulate silver. 800, not 925 silver is used. Heat will make the silver wrinkle (reticulate). Each piece is unique, and there is no way to tell what the wrinkles will look like. 800 silver has a higher copper content, which makes the wrinkles larger. We will all make a pendant. This class is suitable for those 13 years and up.

    Silver is around $80 bucks an ounce now - Cost of class = $55.00
